Step 1: Create your account

  1. Go to the Pricing page and click Start Trial on a paid plan (14-day free trial, no card needed), or Get Started on the free Member plan.
  2. Enter your Full Name, Email and a password of at least 8 characters, then click Get Started. Or sign up with Google.
  3. You are taken straight to your dashboard. You also get a welcome email, "Say hello to a better way to run your business", with quick links into your account.

Your business name starts as your own name, and your free website address is made from it (for example janesmith.rebookmedia.com). Change your business name in Settings > Business, and your web address on the Website page.

Step 2: Complete your profile

The first time you open your dashboard, RebookMedia walks you through your profile:

  1. Select your main category: pick the one that best matches your business, such as Real Estate Photography, and click Save & Continue. You can add more categories later.
  2. Basic Info: upload your Public Image (your logo or photo) and enter your Business Address. Your address also creates your first service area, covering your whole county.
  3. About Me: write a bio of 300 to 1,000 characters about you and your work, or click Write my bio for a first draft.
  4. My Portfolio: upload your best photos or videos (JPG, PNG, MP4 or MOV).
  5. Click Finish. You will see "You're All Set!"

If you close these steps early, finish them later from the Business Listing card on your Home page, using its Public Image, Professional Bio, Update Portfolio and Category Image tiles.

Step 3: Your sample project and service

To help you explore, your account starts with sample data: a Photography (Sample) service at $250, a sample project with a gallery of photos, and you as a sample client. Open the sample project to see how projects, invoices and galleries work.

  1. When you are ready, turn off or delete the sample service on the Services page; it counts toward your plan's service limit while it is active.
  2. Set the sample project to Cancel Project (status menu at the top of the project) when you no longer need it.

Step 4: Set up your services

Create the services clients can book, with prices, durations, options and deposits. See Create and manage your services and Manage your categories.

Step 5: Set your availability and service areas

  1. Availability: your account starts with Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Change it to your real hours, and check your time zone. See Set your availability.
  2. Service areas: add the counties or cities you travel to. See Set up your service areas.

Step 6: Get paid with Stripe

Connect your Stripe account on the Connect page (left menu) to send invoices, take card payments and collect deposits. See Connect Stripe to get paid and Send invoices and get paid.

Step 7: Turn on online booking

Write your Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy, then switch on Allow Bookings in Settings > Bookings. See Set up online booking.

Step 8: Launch your website

Choose a template, make it yours and publish it. Your website shows your services and portfolio and lets clients book you. See Create and publish your website.

Step 9: Get listed in the directory

Each category is listed in the RebookMedia directory once its profile is complete, so clients searching for your service can find and book you. See Getting Started with Business Listings.

Your Home page

  1. Business Listing: whether each category is Listed or Unlisted, and what is missing.
  2. Pro Account: your plan, when your trial ends, your media storage and badges.
  3. Attention Required: things that need your action, such as verifying your email, publishing your website or replying to messages.
  4. Projects, Sales, Profile Visits, Business Website and Meet Local Pros (other professionals near you to network with).

See Your Home dashboard explained for every card.

Each main page shows a short "Welcome to ..." introduction the first time you open it. Click Okay, Got It! so it doesn't appear again. On a computer, click Start Tour at the top of your Home page for a guided tour.

Your free trial

Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. Your Home page shows when it ends. Add a payment card on the Subscriptions tab in Settings before the trial ends to keep your plan. See Manage your plan and subscription.

Using RebookMedia on your phone

RebookMedia works in your phone's web browser too. Sign in at rebookmedia.com, and use the menu at the bottom of the screen to reach Projects, Calendar, your Home page, Inbox and Settings.
