Great work only pays off when the right people see it. You don't need a big budget to market your photography business: your RebookMedia profile, website and happy clients can do most of the work. This guide shows simple, steady ways to get more bookings.
In this guide: your marketing foundation, share your links everywhere, social media, partners and referrals, offers, and measuring what works.
1. Build your foundation
Before you promote anything, make sure clients land somewhere that books:
- Every category Listed with a strong portfolio, bio and category image (see Build a profile that gets booked).
- Your website published, ideally on your own domain (see Create and publish your website).
- Online booking turned on, so people can book the moment they're interested.
- Reviews from recent clients.
2. Share your links everywhere
- Put your booking page or website link in your email signature, social media bios and business cards.
- Use the Share button on your profile to post it to Facebook or WhatsApp.
- Add a "Book now" link to every reply you send to an inquiry.
3. Use social media well
- Post consistently, two or three times a week, rather than in bursts.
- Show before-and-after edits, behind the scenes and finished results.
- Tag the agent, venue or business you worked with; they often share it.
- Say where you work in captions ("Bergen County real estate photographer"), so local clients find you.
- End posts with a simple call to action: "Book your shoot at [your link]."
4. Build partnerships and referrals
- Real estate: agents book again and again. Deliver fast and reliably, and they will send their colleagues.
- Events and portraits: connect with planners, venues, florists and hair and makeup artists.
- Other photographers: use Meet Local Pros to network nearby; pros refer overflow work and dates they can't take (see Meet local pros and add your skills).
- Thank clients who refer you, for example with a discount on their next session.
5. Use offers wisely
A limited-time promo code can fill a quiet season or reward returning clients. Give it a clear reason and an end date, and share it with the people most likely to book. See Create promo codes.
6. Measure what works
- Watch your Home page: profile visits, new messages, new orders and sales over the last 7 or 30 days.
- Ask new clients how they found you, and note it on their client profile.
- Do more of what brings bookings, and stop what doesn't.
Start small
Pick two things from this guide and do them every week for a month: for example, ask every client for a review and post one finished project each week. Small, steady steps add up.
