Get reviews from your clients

Reviews are one of the best ways to win new clients. They appear on your RebookMedia profile and in search results, and a high rating earns you the Top Rated badge. This article explains how to ask for reviews, what your clients see, and how to follow up.

Where to find it: Open the project and click Request Review at the top of the page (on a computer or tablet).

Ask for a review

Once you have delivered the photos, open the project and click Request Review. In the Request Client Review window, choose one of two ways:

  1. Send it for you: click Send Review Request via Email and then Confirm Dispatch?. Your client gets an email "We'd love your feedback" from your business, with a Leave a Review button, and a text message if their phone is verified.
  2. Send it yourself: click Copy next to the Manual Share Link and paste the link into a text, email or message to your client.
Good to know: the review link works for 7 days from the first time you send or copy it. Sending again doesn't restart the 7 days, so ask while the job is fresh.

What your client sees

The link opens a page with your profile card. Your client rates Seller Communication, Quality of Delivery and Value of Delivery from 1 to 5 stars, writes about their experience (up to 1,000 characters) and clicks Submit. They don't need to sign in. Each project can be reviewed once.

Follow up

If your client hasn't left a review yet, a Missing Review card appears in Attention Required on your Home page. Click Send Reminder to email them:

  1. Write a short, friendly reminder, or pick a review email template.
  2. Insert the [review] Review URL token from the Tokens menu, so the email includes their review link.
  3. Click Send Email.

Save your reminder as a template so it's ready next time (see Use templates for emails and contracts). If your client doesn't want to leave a review, click the X to dismiss the card.

Where reviews appear

  1. On the Reviews tab of your RebookMedia profile, with your average rating, the number of ratings and a breakdown by stars.
  2. On your search card in the directory, as stars and the number of reviews.

Your rating is the average of all your client reviews, and is shared by all your categories.

The Top Rated badge

Keep an average client rating of 4.0 or higher and you earn the Top Rated badge, shown on your Home page and to clients. It is checked automatically and removed if your average drops below 4.0.

Tips

  1. Ask right after you deliver, when your client is happiest with their photos.
  2. Tell clients at the shoot that you'll send a quick review link afterwards.
  3. Thank clients personally when they leave a review.
  4. Ask every client, not just the ones you think will be most positive. A steady flow of reviews looks more trustworthy than a few.

Troubleshooting

The window shows a red message after sending

If it says "Review request sent via email.", the request was sent. Only messages starting with "Caught" or "Could not dispatch" mean it failed; try again.

My client says the link has expired

Review links last 7 days from the first request. Schedule a support call if you need a new link for a client.

My client didn't get the email

Ask them to check their spam folder, or copy the Manual Share Link and send it to them yourself.

I can't see Request Review on my phone

Open the project on a computer or tablet, or copy the link from there and send it from your phone.
