If you edit photos or videos for photographers, you can work with them on RebookMedia. Photographers send you their files from their projects, you deliver the finished photos in the same place, and you get paid by card to your own Stripe account or another way you agree. There is no membership fee: you set your own prices and terms.
Where to find it: Once you are signed in, the Editing menu on the left has Jobs, Photographers, Pricing, Earnings and Profile. On a phone, tap the menu icon at the top left first to open the menu.

Two ways to join
- A photographer invites you. Photographers you already work with can invite you from their account.
- You apply. Click For Editors at the top of rebookmedia.com, then Apply to join.
Apply to edit for RebookMedia
The application takes about 5 minutes. Fields marked optional can be left empty.
- About you: your name, email, country and time zone.
- Your business: the business name photographers see (your own name is fine) and your business type. US businesses that aren't sole proprietors can add an EIN; it is stored encrypted.
- Your work: the categories you edit, how many photographers you work with, your years of experience, the tools you use, a portfolio link, and 1 to 3 before and after sample pairs (JPG or PNG).
- Tell us about yourself: at least 20 characters.
- Agree to the terms and click Submit application.
You will see "Thanks! We received your application." and get a confirmation email. Reviews usually take 5 business days. We then email you:
- Approved: "You're approved to edit for RebookMedia", with a Set your password button. The link works for 7 days. Your profile is already filled in from your application.
- A question: reply to the email with the details we ask for.
- Not approved: a photographer you work with can still invite you directly.
Accept a photographer's invitation
You get an email, "[photographer] invited you to edit for them on RebookMedia", with any note they wrote.
- New to RebookMedia: click Accept and set your password, then choose your password. The link works for 7 days, and setting your password accepts the invitation.
- Already on RebookMedia: click View the invitation, sign in with your usual email and password, and click Accept or Decline on the Photographers page.
If the link expired, ask the photographer to resend the invitation.
If you are also a photographer on RebookMedia
Once you accept a photographer's invitation, your account has two places: your own business and Editing. When you sign in, choose where to go. To switch later, open your profile menu at the top right and click Switch to Editing or Switch to my Pro account. Links in editing emails take you to the right place.
Set up your profile
The first time you sign in, you set up your editor profile. This is what photographers see when they work with you.
- Your name (what photographers see) and Business name (optional).
- Country and Time zone. Both are suggested from your browser; due dates are shown in your time zone.
- Categories you edit, for example Real Estate or Weddings. Choose at least one.
- About you (optional), up to 1,000 characters.
Click Save and continue. You go to your invitations if you have any, otherwise to Pricing. Change your profile any time from Profile in the left menu.
Your default terms
Under My default terms on your Profile, choose:
- When does the photographer get full-size files? Right after they approve, or after payment (until then they see watermarked previews).
- Auto-approve if not reviewed within N days of delivery: tick it so photos the photographer hasn't reviewed are approved automatically after that many days (1 to 60).
- Payment due: when the photographer approves, or within a number of days after.
- Who pays the card fees? The photographer (added to their total), you (taken from your payout), or split 50 / 50. This only applies to card payments through RebookMedia, and you can change it on each job until it is paid.
Click Save terms. Each job keeps the terms it was sent with. You can also set different terms for one photographer (see below).
How you get paid
- Card payments (Stripe): click Connect Stripe to connect your own Stripe account. Photographers then pay you by card, and Stripe pays it out to your bank. Stripe for editors is available in many countries; if not in yours, your Profile says so.
- PayPal email and Payoneer email (optional): photographers see these when they pay you another way and record the payment.
When a photographer pays by card, there is a RebookMedia fee (a percentage set by the photographer's plan) and card processing. Your terms decide who pays them. Payments recorded outside RebookMedia have no fee.
Photographers you edit for
Click Photographers in the left menu.
- Invitations waiting for you show Accept and Decline. When you accept, you see "You now edit for [photographer]."
- Each photographer shows the terms they get. Click Edit terms to give one photographer their own terms, or Use my defaults to go back to your default terms. New terms apply to new jobs.
- Click Leave and confirm to stop working with a photographer. Jobs already sent carry on.
Go live
Photographers can send you jobs once a category is live. Add your prices on the Pricing page and turn each category on. See Set up your editing prices. Until then, photographers see you as Onboarding.
Troubleshooting
"We already have an application from [email] and it's being reviewed."
You can only have one application in review. We will email you when it is done.
My password link expired
Ask the photographer to resend the invitation, or reply to your approval email.
Every page takes me back to my Profile
Save your profile once first: fill in your name, time zone and at least one category, then click Save and continue.
I don't see Switch to Editing
Editing appears in your account once you accept a photographer's invitation. Ask the photographer to invite the email you sign in with.
