Create a property website for a Real Estate project

Every Real Estate project can have its own single-property website: a listing page with large cover photos, the property details, amenities, a photo gallery, a map and a contact form for buyers. It is built automatically from the project's media, so you only fill in the listing details and share the link with your client, the agent.

This article covers turning on the property website, filling in the listing, choosing cover photos, the branded and unbranded links, and what buyers see.

Where to find it: Open the project, then click Website in the left menu. On a phone, tap the menu icon at the top left first to open the menu.

Before you start

  1. Set the project category to Real Estate. The Website item only appears in the project menu for Real Estate projects. Choose the category at the top of the project, then refresh the page.
  2. Upload the media first. The gallery shows the project's media, so add your photos, videos and floor plans in the project's Media page (see Deliver photos and media to clients).
  3. Only upload what you want buyers to see. The property website shows every file in the project's media, including floor plans and other attachments, in full quality and without watermarks.

Open the property website

Open the project and click Website. The first time you do, the property website is created for you and switched on. The page has three tabs: Settings, Site Data and Cover Photos. Click Preview at the top to see the site the way buyers do.

Choose a color and turn the site on or off

  1. Select Design (Settings tab): choose a color: Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, Teal or Rose. It saves straight away and the preview updates.
  2. Active / Inactive (top right): set the site to Inactive to take it offline. Visitors then see a page saying the site is temporarily inactive. Set it back to Active to bring it back.
Good to know: completing or cancelling the project doesn't take the property website down. Set it to Inactive when the listing is over, or until your client has paid.

Share the links

Under Friendly Web Addresses on the Settings tab you will find the links for this property. Hover over a link and click the copy icon to copy it, or the open icon to visit it.

  1. Your own short link: the second link lets you type the end of the address yourself, for example "123-main-street", on your RebookMedia address. It saves when you click away. It must be unique across RebookMedia, so add the town or ZIP code if it is taken.
  2. Branded links (the ones ending in "branded" or using your own address) show your client's name and phone number, a Schedule a Showing button, the description, the map and a contact form.
  3. Unbranded links (ending in "unbranded") show only the photos and property details, with no names, phone numbers, contact form or map. Use them where listing rules don't allow branding, such as on an MLS.

If you have connected your own domain, links on your domain are listed too.

Fill in the listing details

Open the Site Data tab, fill in the sections below, and click Save Updates at the bottom. You will see "Property listing data saved successfully."

  1. Listing Info: the Client Name and Phone Number shown on branded links (they start with your client's details), the MLS Number and the List Price.
  2. Property Features: Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Garage, Square Feet, Year Built and Lot Size.
  3. Noteworthy Amenities: type one amenity per box. Click + Add Amenity for another. To remove one, clear its box.
  4. Property Location: click the address to change it, pick it from the list and save. To place the map pin, drag the marker (or click the map), then click Save Updates.
  5. Buyer's Commission: the commission and an optional note shown next to it.
  6. Property Description: the description shown on branded links.
Tip: type numbers without commas. List Price can include $ and commas, but Bedrooms, Garage, Square Feet and Year Built must be whole numbers (for example 2500, not 2,500). Bathrooms can have a decimal, such as 2.5.

Choose cover photos

  1. Open the Cover Photos tab.
  2. Click up to 5 photos to use as the large slideshow at the top of the site. Selected photos get a green check, and each click saves straight away.
  3. Click a selected photo again to remove it.

Cover photos are shown in the same order as in the project's Media page. To change the order, reorder the photos there.

What buyers see

  1. A slideshow of your cover photos, with the address.
  2. Property Details: price, MLS number, beds, baths, garage, square feet, year built and lot size, for the details you filled in.
  3. Amenities as a checklist.
  4. A Photo Gallery with all the project's media; videos play in the gallery.
  5. On branded links: your client's name and phone, Schedule a Showing and Contact buttons, the description, and a map once you have saved the map location.

The site works on phones and tablets as well as computers. The browser tab shows your business name.

Buyer enquiries

On branded links, buyers can click Schedule a Showing or Contact and send their name, email, phone and a message. Each enquiry is emailed to you, the photographer, with the subject "New Contact Request" and the property address. Replying to that email doesn't reach the buyer, so forward it to your client or use the buyer's email address in the message.

Troubleshooting

I don't see Website in the project menu

Set the project's category to Real Estate at the top of the project, then refresh the page.

"Error saving property listing"

Check the numbers: Bedrooms, Garage, Square Feet and Year Built must be whole numbers without commas.

"Dynamic part already exists"

Another property already uses that short link. Add something unique, such as the town or ZIP code.

The map isn't showing

Click the address, pick it from the list and save, or drag the map marker and click Save Updates.

"You can only select up to 5 cover photos"

Click a selected photo to remove it before choosing another.

A file I don't want buyers to see is in the gallery

The gallery shows everything in the project's media. Remove the file from the Media page, or set the site to Inactive.
